Snoqualmie Pass reopens, Stevens Pass closed WB due to snow, spinouts

All lanes on Interstate 90 through Snoqualmie Pass have reopened Saturday in both directions after multiple crashes.

Chains are required on all vehicles except all-wheel drive for travel. Oversized vehicles prohibited.

Stevens Pass US 2 is closed westbound. Chains are required on all vehicles except all-wheel drive for eastbound travel.

According to Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), heavy snow caused multiple crashes Saturday – blocking multiple lanes.

WSDOT says crews are in the process of clearing vehicles in the westbound lanes. They expect WB Snoqualmie to reopen at 9 pm
