- Tottenham have announced the £60m signing of Everton forward Richarlison
- The Brazilian has signed a five-year deal to become Spurs fourth summer signing
- Richarlison will arrive in north London with plenty of Premier League experience
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the £60million signing of Everton forward Richarlison, with the Brazilian agreeing a five-year contract.
The 25-year-old becomes Antonio Conte’s fourth summer signing after already landing the likes of Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma, as Spurs continue to rebuild their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League.
Spurs are expected to commit to an initial package in the region of £50million, with a further £10m in add-ons bringing the total outlay to around £60m.

The Brazilian will bring a new dimension to Spurs’ front line after securing a top four finish
In a statement, Spurs said: ‘We are delighted to announce the signing of Richarlison from Everton, subject to a work permit.
‘The Brazilian international has signed a contract with us until 2027.
Kane and Son already provide plenty of goals for Spurs, but now they have legitimate secondary scoring arriving at the club, which could help out with the extra games of the Champions League once again this campaign.
Conte’s side have had to beat off competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea to capture his signature, after both sides also expressed an interest in the Brazilian international.
Richarlison is expected to be a good option for the Italian across the front line, with him being able to play on either flank, and even fill in down the middle for England star Harry Kane.

The forward was instrumental in helping the Frank Lampard’s Toffees avoid the drop last term
The former Watford forward will face competition from the likes of Kane, Heung-Min Son, Dejan Kulusevski, Lucas Moura, and Steven Bergwijn to feature in the starting line-up – although the latter two have been linked with moves away this summer.
Richarlison could also finally solve Spurs long-term issue of being able to have a strong back-up option to Kane with his previous Premier League experience.
He has made 152 appearances for Everton since joining from Watford in 2018 for £40m, scoring 53 goals.
The forward was instrumental in helping the Frank Lampard’s Toffees avoid the drop last season, as he found the back of the net 11 times and added a further five assists in 33 outings last season.
Six of those goals came in Everton’s last nine games of the season as they finished 16th and four points above the relegation zone.

Richarlison will also be hoping to impress at his new club with the 2022 Qatar World Cup on the horizon with plenty of competition for places in attack in the Brazil squad.
For Spurs things are shaping up nicely for Spurs with another attacking option in Richarlison, a good option in wing-back Perisic, while Bissouma will provide competition to both Rodrigo Bentancur and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg.
Forster has also been brought in as Hugo Lloris’ understudy, but Spurs are not done yet, as they plan to continue making additions this summer in a massive squad overhaul.
Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence is another Spurs players are hoping to bring in – with the club in advanced talks to sign him.
A number of players are also expected to depart this summer to free up shape for the new arrivals – with Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele and Emerson Royal among those who could leave.
